The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 unashamedly cranks itself up to 11 from its opening action set-piece to the final credits. I have no doubt that a lot of people won’t get along with this approach at all, it could all be way too much for them to handle. But for me, it works and what makes it work is entirely down to Andrew Garfield’s central performance and his natural on-screen chemistry with Emma Stone.

Dane DeHaan who is excellent as Harry Osbourne. I can’t really call him an up and coming actor but he’s certainly a star on the rise and will be leading his own movies very soon – probably the Sinister Six film. Special mention to Jamie Foxx who, for me, is genuinely terrifying as Electro.
