Two Faces of January

There were several occasions whilst watching The Two Faces of January where I genuinely felt like I was watching a freshly discovered Hitchcock film from the 60s.

The suspenseful thriller focuses on Oscar Isaac, a tour guide, who’s drawn to a glamorous couple vacationing in Greece, played by Vigo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst. A chance event throws the trio together for the foreseeable future and the film focuses on the ever changing dynamic between the threesome as things start to unravel.

Unfortunately the film suffers from a disappointing conclusion, but the performances from the main trio are excellent and the film is dripping in style. There are clothes, hats and sunglasses aplenty to enjoy.
