The Wind Rises

The Wind Rises is Hayao Miyazaki’s final film before his retires and like all his classic animated films it delivers on being a thoroughly enchanting experience. That classic Studio Ghibli magic is still there, but unfortunately The Wind Rises suffers from a sub-par and somewhat slow and meandering story. Essential viewing for a Miyazaki fan, but this film doesn’t stand a chance when compared against his greatest hits.
